Rita Ciaravino, a mentor and advocate for women in engineering, has developed robotic and computer vision systems for the past 10 years.
As Lead Engineer and the first employee at Cruise Automation (acquired by GM), Ciaravino lead the software development of their highway-driving autonomous vehicle.
More recently, while leading a perception team at self-driving startup Argo AI, she began a strategic career shift towards addressing another challenge: hiring and supporting women in tech. Her work in diversity strategy included the development of several company-wide initiatives.
Ciaravino holds a BS degree in mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
